THE BRIEF

For this year’s campaign, BVLGARI focuses in on The Wonders of Love. For BVLGARI, love is far from being romantic or cliché, it is all about wonder. Our brief is to produce a film campaign that celebrates love as a universal dimension that flows through Ramadan.

Highlighting the unique brand identity and the V in BVLGARI, through our Ramadan campaign, we aim to share the wonders of love with V stories. The five stories are localized through our campaign.

OUR APPROACH

This film is a visual story, a representation of the emotional experiences of Ramadan and its connection to the wonders of Love. Masterful camerawork is supported by the choice of breathtaking locations, great talent and emotive music to unveil the beauty of the region and Ramadan. It is a poetic take on Ramadan, an ode to the region of Arabia. Intercuts in the film are abstract images of BVLGARI Jewels. It showcases singer Mishaal Tamer, aerialist Yasmin Baker, pilot Ahmed Fareed, calligrapher Noha Raheem, and Emirati entrepreneur Mthayel Al Ali as they experience and express the wonders of Ramadan through their own craft and areas of interest. For the setting, we chose dreamscape-like locations to enhance the magic surrounding the celebration of Ramadan.

Through our visuals, we captured the intimate and emotional moments for each talent, their vision of love and the Love of Ramadan. Inspired by light, we darkened the day shots in post-production to achieve a sense of mystery and make the jewelry pieces stand out. Finally, we accentuated the cinematography and the composition of the visuals, making the film a moving painting.

THE RESULTS

The surreal, epic production was elevated further by the magic of practical effects such as 3,500 candles and a 150-metre-long calligraphy installation in the desert. The film was released globally and BVLGARI headquarters shared it across all their social media channels.
